12 pounds of ankle and wrist weights that is...
Nathaniel and I decided that our nightly exercise routine of 1.5 to 2 miles was just not challenging enough any more, even though there are some nice hills we tackle along the way. So Friday we went out and bought weights. We got a set each of 10 pound ankle weights (adjusts up to 5 pounds per foot -- I am at about 7 pounds total and NJ has all 10 pounds) and then a set of 5 pound wrist weights (2.5 pounds per wrist). We decided we only needed one of those because we switch off pushing the stroller. We switch half way.
So, our nightly mild exercise routine - which has helped both of us loose over 40 pounds - has now been kicked up a notch. We shall see where it gets us :)
Side accomplishment -- I ran the hill (with full weights) by our house tonight -- the same hill that 6 months ago I had trouble walking up :)
