Kaitlyn's first words

Kaitlyn has officially said her first word(s). Her first word was baba for bottle. Her second word(s) came out of the blue on Saturday morning. We are getting ready for church and I took her into the bathroom. She immediately looked in the mirror, waived and said "Hi baby" It sounded more like Haa Baabe, but it was pretty clear. We say this to her all the time and when we show her herself in the mirror we tell her "Hi baby". NJ and I were floored and proud. She still hasn't formulated mama or dada, but she is getting there.

At 9 months:
  • Kaitlyn is now 30 inches long and 22.8 pounds.
  • She has 7 teeth (three bottom, four top)
  • She is crawling, pulling herself up and trying to stand on her own. She walks around furniture, and likes to get into everything.

You must be so proud! First words are fun. I can remember being so surprised and so proud it was laughable. We invest so much into these little people, so everything is a milestone. And how big she is! Isn't she around the size of an average 15-month old? I know my nephew will is huge -- he is 10 months old and weighs 24 pounds and wears 24 month stuff (not sure how long he is; he is more round than long, ha ha, but so cute). She is adorable, and smart like her mom and dad!

P.S. Looking forward to good news at your weigh in today?
